Scientific Data
Pollen concentrations from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS). Risk thresholds based on European Aeroallergen Network (EAN) research.
Full European Coverage
The CAMS pollen model covers all of Europe with hourly resolution. Six allergen types: birch, grass, alder, mugwort, olive, and ragweed — the major triggers for hay fever across the continent.
Personalized Allergy Risk
Choose your allergens and see data for each one individually — concentrations, hourly trends, and peak times for the pollen types that affect you.
Understanding Pollen Levels
Pollen levels are measured in grains per cubic meter of air. Higher concentrations mean more allergen exposure and worse symptoms for sensitive individuals. The thresholds vary by pollen type because different pollens differ in size, weight, and allergenicity.
None
No pollen detected. Allergy sufferers can enjoy the outdoors without concern.
Low
Minimal pollen. Most people with allergies will have no symptoms or very mild ones.
Moderate
Noticeable pollen levels. Sensitive individuals may experience symptoms — consider antihistamines.
High
Significant pollen. Most allergy sufferers will have symptoms. Limit outdoor time, keep windows closed.
Very High
Very heavy pollen. Stay indoors if possible. Shower after being outside, use air purifiers.

Why Check Pollen Levels Daily?
Pollen allergies (hay fever) are one of the most common health conditions in Europe. Symptoms — sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, fatigue — can significantly reduce quality of life. Pollen levels change hourly depending on weather, temperature, and wind. Checking the forecast before going outside helps you plan your day: take medication in advance, schedule outdoor activities for low-pollen hours, or know when to keep windows closed.
How Is the Pollen Forecast Calculated?
The pollen forecast is based on the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) European air quality forecast — an ensemble of eleven air quality models across Europe. CAMS models airborne pollen concentrations for birch, grass, alder, mugwort, olive, and ragweed with hourly resolution. Forecasts are produced daily for up to 4 days ahead. Pollen data via Open-Meteo.com. More about the CAMS European forecast: ads.atmosphere.copernicus.eu.
